COVID-19 has impacted us all. But not the same. Livelihoods requiring frequent relocation can make it hard to sustain a long-term career — a challenge that often leads to un(der)employment, especially for military spouses. The U.S. Department of Defense showed that pre-pandemic military spouses faced a 24% unemployment rate. Between school closures due to COVID-19 and the rigid demands of military service, many spouses have had to dedicate working hours to childcare.

Let’s Get to (Remote) Work

In response to COVID-19’s burden on women veterans and women military spouses, General Assembly and The Adecco Group have joined forces to invest in you. The Adecco Group U.S. Foundation Service Scholarship offers a path toward a long-term tech career that can accommodate relocation through remote work and a keen digital skillset. That means more opportunity for you and more support for your loved ones.

How Does It Work?

The Adecco Group U.S. Foundation Service Scholarship provides a new pathway of accessibility to a career in technology by giving five part-time scholarships to women veterans and women military spouses. The service scholarship offers financial support through the EdTech company, General Assembly (GA). The scholarships can be used for any part-time course offered though GA.

Submit your application through the form above by May 31, 2021 to be considered. Awardees will be announced July 1.

The Adecco Foundation understands that the best candidate pool is a diverse one. We strongly encourage applications from all eligible women who are underrepresented in the tech industry, across race, ethnic and national origin, age, socio-economic status, physical ability, and sexual identity.

  • You must be planning or interested in seeking a full-time job upon completion of the selected GA course.

  • You must have access to a computer, reliable Wi-Fi, and the appropriate operating systems.

  • You must be able to start a course as early as July and know that courses may fill up.

  • You must be able to demonstrate how attending this course will give you a competitive advantage in your job search.

  • You must complete the online application.

  • If awarded, you agree to provide one photograph and state of support to be used by General Assembly and/or The Adecco Group for promotion.
