Apply for a scholarship towards the remote Software Engineering Immersive program, launching part-time online on 6 November 2023*. An individual will receive a full scholarship for this program and once completed, an internship opportunity at Thoughtworks.

Indigitek is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to increase technology employment pathways for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people and create 300 jobs for them within industry by 2030.
However, only 43% of Aboriginal children graduate High School with one STEM subject.
Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people make up 3% of the Australian population.
However, they make up close to 0% of the tech industry. Affordable learning pathways are necessary in creating access to STEM related careers.
That's why General Assembly and Indigitek are partnering with Thoughtworks to provide a full scholarship to two recipients to supercharge their career in software engineering.

The First Nations Delivery Centre is a fully-remote, distributed development team staffed at least 50% with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander technologists, that aims to create an inclusive environment to begin and grow new tech careers. The team delivers custom digital solutions for Thoughtworks clients, while working 100% remote, from anywhere across the country, and with the autonomy to develop their own team and office culture.
