How It Works

Cognizant, one of the top technology consulting firms and a leader in software product development, is seeking to add new talent to their Digital Engineering group. In partnership with General Assembly, Cognizant is sponsoring a 6-week training program to enhance your skills in Java, full stack development, XP, DevOps and Microservices. Cognizant is investing in your success. Upon successful graduation, you will fast-track your career to a Senior Java Developer role with Cognizant. 

1. Phone Interview

Fill out the form above to get in touch with our Admissions team. We will walk you through the program details to ensure this program is a good fit for your experience, and Cognizant’s new role aligns with your career objectives.

2. Technical Assessment

After a successful phone interview, you’ll take an online pair programming assessment and a Cognizant administered HackerRank test to gauge your existing technical competencies.

4. Acceptance in the Program

If you pass steps 1–3, you’ll be invited to enroll in the free, full-time training program at GA’s Chicago campus and receive a contingent offer of hire and stipend from Cognizant.

3. Interview with Cognizant

Once you pass both technical assessments, you will be invited to meet with a representative from Cognizant Digital Engineering so you can get to know them, and they can get to know you.

5. Graduation

Students who successfully complete the program will move forward with onboarding to a Senior Java Developer role in Cognizant’s Digital Engineering group.
